About

Fly Eth Handels GmbH was a proposed Austrian start-up planning to provide its fleet of passenger aircraft for lease and charter. Fly Eth was to be based at Vienna Airport. The start-up intended to acquire 17 aircraft (seven A320s, four ATR 72-500s, two Bombardier Q400s, two Dornier 328s and two Saab 340s). Upon receiving its Austrian air operator’s certificate, Fly Eth was to have commenced scheduled services from Slovenia's Maribor Airport on 15-Jan-2015, utilising two Dornier 328s and up to three Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft. The start-up also hoped to later launch services to Rome via Klagenfurt and Berlin via Linz, as well as to Cologne/Bonn. Fly Eth suspended its launch plans on 25-Sep-2014, following the withdrawal of its primary financier Michael Jan.
