Cyprus Airways (Charlie Airlines)
Charlie Airlines, d/b/a Cyprus Airways, is a Cypriot carrier established by S7 Airlines co-owner Vladislav Filev. The carrier secured the naming rights to former Cypriot airline, Cyprus Airways, in Jul-2016 and assumed the defunct carrier's brand with a new logo and colour scheme. The carrier obtained an AOC in early 2017, and launched on 01-Jun-2017 with Larnaca-St Petersburg service. Cyprus Airways operates flights to Europe, Russia and the Middle East.
On 30-Jun-2021, Cyprus Airways confirmed it was acquired by SJC Group, a Maltese company with operations in Africa and the Middle East.
