China Xinhua Airlines
China Xinhua Airlines is a Chinese charter carrier based at Tianjin Binhai and Beijing Capital International airports. It operates scheduled trunk and charter services on behalf of its parent airline, Hainan Airlines. The carrier merged with Shanxi Airlines and Chang An Airlines to form the Grand China Air brand in Nov-2007. Hainan Airlines acquired the remaining stake in China Xinhua Airlines from Grand China Air in 2011, effectively becoming a wholly-owned entity under HNA Group. Hainan Airlines divested its stake in the airline, but remains a majority shareholder. China Xinhua continues to operate services under Hainan Airlines' 'HU' code. China Xinhua Airlines utilises a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft.
