Charlie Airlines, d/b/a Cyprus Airways, is a Cypriot carrier established by S7 Airlines co-owner Vladislav Filev. The carrier secured the naming rights to former Cypriot airline, Cyprus Airways, in Jul-2016 and assumed the defunct carrier's brand with a new logo and colour scheme. Charlie Airlines serves European routes with two A319 aircraft taken from S7 regional brand, 'Siberia'. Russian shareholders hold a 40% stake in the carrier, while foreign investors control 60% of the airline, complying with EASA requirements. The carrier obtained an AOC in early 2017, and launched on 01-Jun-2017, with Larnaca-St Petersburg service.
