Boost is the tentative name of Air France-KLM's proposed low cost long haul subsidiary project. The carrier, also referred to as NewCo, is a strategy by the airline group to regain market share on "ultra competitive routes", including Asian and Gulf sectors. The new airline aims to launch in Autumn 2017 and to operate 28 aircraft by summer 2020, using Air France pilots. Air France-KLM Group has not announced a brand name for the new carrier, however, it is expected to commence in Autumn 2017. Air France announced it will continue plans to launch the proposed carrier, after securing approval from the SNPL pilots' union.
