AZALJET was the low-cost subsidiary of Azerbaijan Airlines, based at Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport. AZALJET operated as a separate entity to the parent company, according to CJSC AZAL President Jahangir Asgarov. The new LCC launched operations on 28-Mar-2016, with services to Middle East and European destinations. It ceased operations following the launch of Buta Airways.
