About

Established in 1992 as a state-enterprise airline, Aurora Airlines JSC is a Russian carrier serving the country’s Far East region. The carrier was based on the merger of two Far Eastern subsidiaries operated by Aeroflot Group, SAT Airlines and Vladivostok Avia. Aeroflot Group, the majority shareholder, transferred 49% of the shares in Aurora Airlines to the Sakhalin Oblast in 2014. The carrier operates passenger and charter services to domestic and international destinations.
