Air Senegal is the flagship carrier of Senegal. The airline was founded by the Sengalese Government to replace Senegal Airlines, which ceased operations in Mar-2016 following the withdrawal of its air operator's certificate. The new airline was created with XOF40 billion (USD68.8 million) in capital, which is expected to increase to XOF100 billion (USD172 million). The carrier operates ATR72-600 aircraft, and signed an MoU for two A330neos in Nov-2017. Charter services commenced on 30-Apr-2018, and commercial operations on 14-May-2018.
