About
Air Oceania is a proposed low-cost carrier to serve the Loyalty Islands, an administrative subdivision of New Caledonia. Loyalty Islands President Jacques Lalie is in negotiations with Airbus and plans to operate services to Vanuatu, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and French Polynesia, with plans to enter an agreement with InterContinental for the carrier to operate to Lifou, Mare and Ouvea resorts. The regional LCC startup is expected to boost tourism to the region. A proposed launch date has not been advised.
