About
Air Mekong was a privately-held Vietnamese airline based in Ho Chi Minh City. The airline operated scheduled domestic services using two-class Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft. In Apr-2013, Air Mekong confirmed plans to suspend commercial operations. In May-2014, the Full Service Carrier announced that it would reportedly look to re-establish itself as a Low-Cost Carrier, relaunching operations in 1Q2015. However, on 06-Jan-2015, Vietnam's Ministry of Transport revoked Air Mekong's business licence after the airline reportedly failed to deliver a feasible business plan.
