Air Carnival
About
Established in 2013 as a charter carrier, Air Carnival was an Indian full service carrier based at Coimbatore Peelamedu Airport. The carrier received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from India's Ministry of Civil Aviation on 24-Jun-2014 and submitted an application for an AOP to commence scheduled services. Air Carnival launched scheduled operations on 18-Jul-2016 with a fleet of ATR72-500 aircraft, after receiving an operational permit from the DGCA on 04-Jul-2016. Air Carnival grounded its ATR72 aircraft on 05-Apr-2017 amid talks for a stake disinvestment. India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) suspended the Air Operator Permit (AOP) of the Coimbatore-based airline.
