Air Antwerp
About
Air Antwerp was a Belgian carrier based at Antwerp International Airport. The carrier operated with one Fokker 50 aircraft previously owned by VLM Airlines Brussels. KLM and CityJet were shareholders, having raised EUR61,500 in start up capital. The carrier commenced commercial operations on 09-Sep-2019 with the launch of London City-Antwerp service.
Air Antwerp had suspended services and restarted several times due to border closures related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The carrier had been unable to fund a buyer and required significant investment to resume operations. Air Antwerp announced it has ceased operations 12-Jun-2021.
