Grupo Viva

Airline Group

Grupo Viva is a multinational airline holding company based in Panama City, Panama. The group operates Peruvian low-cost carrier; Viva Air Peru and fellow LCC; VivaColombia. Grupo Viva was created by the backers of the two airlines; Irelandia Aviation and Grupo IAMSA (Inversiones en Autotransportes Mexicanos SA de CV), in order to expand the Viva airline brand in Central and South America. Grupo IAMSA has acquired the total of Irelandia Aviation's stake in Grupo Viva Aerobus, and wholly owns VivaAerobus. The group plans to introduce VivaArgentina in 2017. Grupo Viva structure gives the carriers the opportunity to maximise cost synergies and operational efficiencies and to centralise key management functions. Grupo Viva has an outstanding order with Airbus for 50 new A320 aircraft.
