China Eastern Air Holding Company, also known as China Eastern Group, is a Chinese international airline group based in Shanghai. As one of the three major Chinese national carriers, China Eastern and its affiliates operate an extensive network of international and domestic services from their main hubs at Shanghai Pudong International and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport's.

China Eastern Air Holding Company is headquartered on the grounds of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and was the first Chinese airline to be publicly listed. While the Chinese Government retains majority ownership of the airline group (62%), a portion of its shares are listed on the Shanghai, Hong Kong, and New York Stock Exchange's (SSE: 600115, SEHK: 0670, NYSE: CEA).

Wholly-owned subsidiaries of the airline group include:

  • Shanghai Airlines (since Feb-2010)
  • China United Airlines (100%, since Feb-2010)

Affiliates of the airline group include:

  • China Cargo Airlines (83% through wholly-owned subsidiary China Eastern Logistics, since Oct-1998)
  • Sichuan Airlines (10% through Shanghai Airlines, since Aug-2002)
  • Joy Air (5%)
