About

Established in 1987, Airways New Zealand (Airways) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the NZ Government. The organisation is charged with controlling all air movements within NZ’s 30 million sq kms of controlled airspace, which includes Tonga, Samoa and the Cook Islands. Airways also maintains air navigation infrastructure, manages NZ's two radar centres, seven international airports, 15 regional airports and three military bases as well as provides all necessary design, technical and informational services to NZ's airspace users.
