Wataniya suspends Kuwait-Rome service; Royal Jordanian to increase Amman-Khartoum frequency

Wataniya Airways, subsidiary of Kuwait National Airways (-2.1%), announced the suspension of Kuwait-Rome and confirmed plans to increase Kuwait-Vienna frequency from three to six times weekly.

Meanwhile, Royal Jordanian (+1.3%) announced plans to increase Amman-Khartoum frequency, from five to seven times weekly from Sep-2010, due to increased demand.

African shares were a mixed bag with 1time (-7%) shares down while Kenya Airways (+2%), Comair (+2.6%) and Lonrho (+4.6%) rose slightly.
