Wataniya Airways reports loss, as anticipated, for the first six months of operations

Wataniya Airways, Kuwait's premium service airline, which only launched its first services on 24-Jan-2009, has announced a loss for 1H2009 of KWD5.9 million (USD20.6 million). Wataniya Chairman, Abdulsalam Al-Bahar, said that the result was expected since the airline was launched only six months ago, adding that the fleet was not completely assembled, and, as normal, had incurred initial start-up and product investment costs.
