Network Planning in 2021: Air Route Development

The airline network planner’s task has become incredibly challenging as travel restrictions are applied, removed and reapplied – not to mention vastly shorter advance booking times and the loss of a key profitability driver: business travel. On the other side, airports are mourning the loss of hard-fought frequencies and destinations, and are having to enter a massive rebuild phase.

So what are the prospects for 2021 from a network planning point of view – and how has the approach to the art-and-science of network planning changed?

Moderator: Aviation Week Network, Director of Air Service Development, ASM North America, Ilona Cambron  (Detroit)

Speakers:

  • JetBlue, VP Network Planning, Andrea Lusso

  • Denver, VP Air Service Development, Laura Jackson
