Fuel Burn Performance Of Boeing 737 Max Is “Amazing” Reports GOL
Gol’s chief planning officer Celso Ferrer offers insight into the corporate market in Brazil, and discusses GOL’s operation of the 737 Max and the network opportunities the aircraft provides.

Celso Ferrer:So 2018 is not an easy year again for Brazilians. I think we have— what we have seen in the first quarter and the first half of second quarter, we have seen a recovery in corporate demand, but we had this truck drivers' strike in Brazil. So from the truck drivers' strike until the elections, we have this window of uncertainty in Brazil. Which requires a lot of discipline on our side, not only on the cost side, but also on the capacity side. So corporate demand is there, it's still stable even in this uncertain environment that we are, but it's not growing. Let's see how it's going to be after elections. Yeah, we have a huge order. We have 135 planes coming. We have the 2 first ones already flying in Brazil. We are excited about the numbers we are seeing. So the fuel burn performance is amazing. And the MAX will be the main pillar of our international expansion. So we are really excited to apply those airplanes into the US and also intra-South American markets because we are very confident that they will provide the lowest cost in each of these markets. So. We are very confident in our strategy.
