Unique Flughafen Zurich sees negative figures across the board

Premium Analysis

Switzerland's Unique Flughafen Zurich published its financial report for 1H2009, the period ending 30-Jun-09. Revenue was down by 6.8% and EBITDA by 16.9%. Zurich Airport has experienced the same difficulties as other primary gateway/hub airports in Europe in a difficult first half year but a particular impact here on revenues was the splitting of noise charges with the local canton (administrative authority). The management still feels able to report a 'positive' result for the period, with a profit.
