Ryanair reports 5% increase in January pax, announces expansion in Greece

Ryanair announced on Thursday that it carried 4.66 million passengers in Jan-2011 - a 5% increase year-on-year - while load factor rose 1ppt to 71%.

On the same day the LCC announced 17 new routes, including to unserved markets, the Greek holiday destinations of Kos, Rhodes and Thessaloniki from Apr-2011. Ryanair now offers 30 Greek routes to/from Kos, Rhodes, Volos and Thessaloniki. Ryanair's Greek traffic will grow to more than 700,000 passengers in 2011. To celebrate, Ryanair is launching 1 million EUR6 seats, for travel across Europe in late February and March.
