OMA traffic down 10.5% in Jan-2010 – Airport share wrap
Shares in OMA - Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte, operator of 13 international airports in North and Central Mexico, gained 1.1% yesterday, upon the release of the group's traffic report for Jan-2010.
Total passenger traffic was down 10.5% year-on-year in the month, as domestic passengers fell by 12.1% year-on-year to 692,381, while international passenger dipped 4.2% year-on-year to 203,339.
Meanwhile, TAV Airports led the way up yesterday, rebounding 6.0% from recent declines of 3.3% on Monday, and 0.8% and 1.6% on Friday and Thursday of last week.
In China, trading volumes on the Shanghai Stock Exchange is expected to ease in the lead up to the Chinese New Year (14-Feb-2010) holiday. Chinese airports, Shenzhen (+3.2%), Guangzhou Baiyan (+2.9%), Xiamen (+1.8%) Beijing (+1.0%), Shanghai (+0.8%) and Hainan Meilan (+0.3%), closed higher yesterday.
