Kingfisher Airlines captures majority market share with strong passenger growth

Latest Ministry of Civil Aviation data shows Kingfisher Airlines’ passenger growth escalated 78.0% year-on-year in Feb-2009 to 904,000 passengers, with average load factors of 74.3% in the month. (Kingfisher has enjoyed a sharp rise in passenger numbers since its merger with Deccan last year). Across India, total domestic passenger numbers fell 6.9% year-on-year in Feb-09, to 33.3 million.
