Hawaiian, Korean Air Announce Marketing Agreement

Analysis

Honolulu - Hawaiian Airlines and Korean Air today announced

a new code share agreement that has expanded the range of travel options for

Korean Air's customers coming to Hawaii and eased their flight connections between

Asia, Hawaii and the Western US.

Korean Air customers now enjoy seamless flight connections in Honolulu to Kauai, Maui and Hawaii's Big Island aboard Hawaiian Airlines, as well as one-stop check-in for ticketing and luggage at their original point of departure. In addition, Korean Air customers can fly Hawaiian to and from any of its nine cities in the Western US and enjoy the same hassle-free connections in Honolulu to Korean Air's destinations in Asia.

Code sharing allows Korean Air to attach its two-letter booking code to Hawaiian's interisland and transpacific flights in worldwide computer reservations systems and sell seats on Hawaiian to its customers.
