FAA to invest USD7 billion in NextGen contracts

US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced plans to award approximately USD7 billion in NextGen contracts, which will be “the largest award in the agency’s history”. The goal of the contracts is to “achieve early NextGen successes to improve safety and bring greater efficiencies” to the US airspace system.
