Cathay Pacific Delhi, Mumbai flights to operate daily
The airline will operate a daily service to Delhi and Mumbai from 1 December 2005 through 31 January 2006. Cathay Pacific currently operates four flights a week to both cities.
India’s temporary release of capacity over the holiday period has been implemented for a number of years and helps meet peak passenger demand between India and Hong Kong.
Cathay Pacific’s current Mumbai services operate via Bangkok and continue onwards to Dubai. All three additional services will stop in Bangkok, yet only one will continue to Dubai. The other two will turn around in Mumbai. All Delhi services will operate non-stop.
Cathay Pacific Director Corporate Development Augustus Tang said: “Daily services to Delhi and Mumbai will offer passengers far greater choice and convenience over the holiday peak. Cathay Pacific’s willingness and ability to add services shows the airline’s prompt agility to meet demand on these popular routes and further strengthen connectivity.”
