CANSO questions claims of improvements in emissions

The Civil Air Navigation Service Organisation (CANSO) has long been a champion of the benefits that better Air Traffic Management (ATM) can deliver both to airlines and the environment through enhanced aviation efficiency. However, the organisation’s Secretary General Alexander ter Kuile, has delivered a blow to claims by IATA and airlines that improvements in ATM could lead to a double digit increase in efficiency and reduction in carbon emissions.
