The advent of on-board WiFi will change the dynamic of inflight entertainment, at least on domestic flights, according to a panel at the Phoenix Aviation Symposium last week. The panelists seemed to suggest that rather than airlines buying expensive and heavy inflight entertainment equipment, they will opt for WiFi to enable passengers to more fully use their own personal electronic devices.
