AirAsia on 05-Dec-08 confirmed its major shareholder, Tune Air Sdn Bhd, was “unable to secure financing on acceptable terms and conditions from financial institutions to fund the potential privatisation exercise of AirAsia”, due to “tight credit market conditions”. Accordingly, Tune Air is “unable to form a firm intention to proceed with the potential privatisation exercise of AirAsia”.
