Gate Gourmet wins three year GB Airwys contract

London (GATE GOURMET) - Eric Born, managing director of Gate Gourmet UK and Ireland today announced that Gate Gourmet has won a three year contract to provide logistics and catering services to GB Airways.
GB Airways have awarded Gate Gourmet a contract to provide 2 million meals a year for flights from London Gatwick and Heathrow to tourist destinations such as Malta, Malaga and Marakesh. Gate Gourmet will be responsible for loading meals and other supplies to all 7, 500 flights to Southern Europe and North Africa.
Eric Born, managing director of Gate Gourmet UK and Ireland, said "Winning this contract demonstrates that Gate Gourmet's turnaround plan is beginning to make an impact and brings us closer to breaking even this financial year. With productivity up, sickness levels down and this new business win now under our belts, we are showing the benefits which can flow from strong management, a committed workforce and a determination to succeed no matter how tough the marketplace."
