Qantas and Kenya Airways sign codeshare; Jazeera reports 94% on-time performance rate

Qantas and Kenya Airways (-2.7%) signed a new codeshare agreement. Under the agreement, Kenya Airways will operate codeshare services on a daily basis with Qantas services between Bangkok and Sydney, while Qantas will codeshare on daily services with Kenya Airways services between Bangkok and Nairobi.

Group Managing Director of Kenya Airways Titus Naikuni stated the carrier "seeks to strengthen its presence in Australia by offering better connection options to its passengers from Africa, and our association with Qantas gives us an opportunity to offer our customers a seamless connection to and from Australia".

Kuwait's Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) reports Jazeera Airways had a market share of 29% on the Kuwait-Beirut route and a market share of 59% on the Kuwait-Sharm El Sheikh route in Aug-2010. The carrier reported an on-time performance rate of 94% in Aug-2010.

Lonrho (+7.1%) gained the most on Friday (15-Oct-2010) while Comair (-1.8%), Kuwait National Airways (-1.2%) and 1time (-1%) shares dropped slightly.
