Kuwait National Airways up despite wider market slip; Jazeera up; Kenya Airways flat
Kuwait National Airways (+1.9%) made the greatest gains of the region's airlines on Monday (01-Jan-2010), resisting a 0.2% slip on the Kuwait Stock Exchange Index.
Also moving higher in the Middle East, were Air Arabia (+1.1%) and Jazeera Airways (+1.1%). Royal Jordanian (-3.9%) shares meanwhile lost their previous day gains, as the Amman Stock Exchange closed trading down 0.8%.
In Africa, 1time Holdings (+0.0%) and Kenya Airways (+0.0%) both ended trading flat. South Africa's FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index (-0.7%) declined for a third consecutive day. The index has dropped 4.3% so far in 2010. Kenya's All-Share Index (+0.9%) snapped a five-day losing streak.
