European airport shares rebound, Chinese airport shares fall with local markets

Analysis

Buoyed by recovering markets in Europe, airport shares in Europe jumped back up on Friday. Aeroports de Paris gained 2.4%, followed by Vienna (+2.1%), Ferrovial (+1.7%), Fraport (+1.3%) and Abertis (+0.5%). However, Zurich dropped 1.4%.

Chinese airport shares dropped sharply, with concerns over Dubai World's debt moratorium and potential changes to Chinese fiscal policy affecting local markets. Beijing airport shares dropped 7.7%, while Shenzhen lost 3.9% and Hainan Meilan ended its long upward run, dropping 3.8%.
