China Eastern takes delivery of Rolls-Royce powered ERJ 145 aircraft

SHANGHAI (Rolls Royce) - China Eastern has taken delivery of five Rolls-Royce AE3007-powered Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft.

The agreement, worth up to $28 million, is for 10 aircraft engines and two spare engines for five firm aircraft, and includes a long-term TotalCare maintenance agreement, managed by Rolls-Royce.

Richard Margolis, Regional Director of Rolls-Royce China, said: I should like to offer my warmest congratulations to China Eastern Airlines on taking delivery of the first of ten ERJ 145 aircraft, powered by the Rolls-Royce AE3007 engine. Rolls Royce and China Eastern Airlines have enjoyed an excellent and long standing business Relationship. "

Rolls-Royce has delivered over 1,900 AE 3007 engines to Embraer since the ERJ145 entered service in 1996. The fleet has accumulated more than 17 million hours, and the same number of cycles.
