Brussels Airport's revenue up in 4Q2010

Belgium's Brussels Airport reported a 4.5% increase in 4Q2010 revenue, while EBITDA surged 20.4% to EUR48.6 million.

    • EBITDA: EUR48.6 million, +20.4%;
    • Capital expenditure: EUR11.0 million, +4.2%;
    • Revenue per passenger: EUR22.15, -1.7%;
  • 12 months ended 31-Dec-2010:
    • Revenue: EUR367.0 million, +0.4%;
      • Aeronautical: EUR235.5 million, -0.4%;
      • Retail: EUR48.8 million, +3.8%;
      • Property and real estate: EUR39.6 million, +0.2%;
      • Car parking and car rental: EUR23.5 million, +4.7%;
      • Commercial trading and other: EUR19.6 million, -3.1%;
    • Operating costs: EUR161.1 million, -0.9%;
    • EBITDA: EUR204.0 million, +6.7%;
    • Capital expenditure: EUR30.5 million, -51.0%;
    • Revenue per passenger: EUR21.4 million, -0.7%.

MAp Airports Ltd CEO, Kerrie Mather, stated: "In 2010, traffic grew 1.1% on the pcp. Adjusting for the impact of the Icelandic volcano eruption in April and the air traffic control strike in September, it is estimated that underlying traffic growth would have been 3.6%". MAp's shares gained yesterday on the report.
