Boeing Delivers First 737-800 to Atlas Blue

Analysis

Seattle (BOEING) - Boeing today announced that it has delivered the first Next-Generation 737-800 airplane to Atlas Blue, a low-cost carrier based in Marrakech, Morocco.

Atlas Blue's newest and most advanced jetliner left Boeing Field this past Friday on a ferry flight to Morocco where it will join the airline's primary fleet of six 737-400s. Atlas Blue is pursuing a growth strategy that will see the airline incorporate two new airplanes per year with the goal of building a modern fleet of 24 airplanes by 2012. The superior operating performance, efficiency and unmatched reliability of the Boeing 737 make it the premier choice of low-cost carriers around the world.
