BAA operating profit down on one-off costs
BAA, the operator of seven UK airports as well as one in Italy,
returned a significantly decreased operating profit (-18.1%) in the nine months
ended 30-Sep-07. The company, purchased by Spanish investment giant Ferrovial
in Jun-06, reported the reduction even as both passenger throughput and revenues
rose (1.4%, to 115 million passengers, and 2.7%, to GBP1.98 billion, respectively).
