Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport lease agreement and funding dispute escalates
US State Representative, Bob Smith, has proposed that the State of Georgia take control of Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport amid concerns of airport construction delays and increasing costs. The airport, currently owned by the City of Atlanta and operated by the Department of Aviation, has dismissed the proposed plan as "irresponsible".
