Air China, unit to buy 23 Airbus A320 aircraft

Beijing (XFN-ASIA) - Air China (SHA 601111; HK 0753) said it

and its wholly-owned unit, Air China Group Import and Export Trading Co, have

signed an agreement to buy 23 Airbus 320-series aircraft from the European commercial

aircraft maker.

In a statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company said the total purchase will be lower than the list price of 1.406 bln usd.

The aircraft will be delivered between January 2009 and December 2012, the company added.
