Lübeck Blankensee Airport is the second largest airport in Hamburg and serves the greater Lübeck region in Germany. The airport was owned and operated by the City of Lübeck. On 22-Apr-2014, Lübeck Airport filed for insolvency and a local court was appointed preliminary administrator. Following the completion of a purchase agreement with the City of Lubeck, Stoecker Airport GmbH & Co KG took over as operator of Lubeck Blankensee Airport on 13-Jun-2016.
