About

Ernesto Cortissoz Airport was South America's first airport and serves Colombia's fourth city of Barranquilla, capital of Atlántico province and the gateway to Colombia's Caribbean region. The city is also a major port, located on the Magdalena River delta, 7km from the mouth of the Caribbean sea. The airport is a focus city for Colombian flag carrier Avianca, and is operated by La Sociedad Grupo Aeroportuario del Caribe SAS.
