About

Trupi Air is a failed venture by a former executive of Dutch Antilles Express (DAE). Owner Frank Weise, and former CEO of DAE, sought FAA approval to launch the Curaçaoan start-up. Mr Weise proposed the carrier would operate international services as well as regional sectors vacated by DAE, which ceased operations in Sep-2013. Trupi Air was expected to commence air services in 2014, however, the owner filed for bankruptcy in late-2013 placing the airline's future in doubt.
