About

BlueSky Airlines, a Cayman Islands start-up, plans to offer scheduled services to the Caribbean as well as Central and South America using a wet-leased Bombardier Dash 8-400s. Its proposed network includes service to the destinations of Santo Dominigo, Montego Bay, Panama City, Cartagena, Cancun and Nassau, with onward service to Tortola, Bogota and San Jose, subject to regulatory approval. The start-up planned to launch services in 2015. However, the collapse of EuroLOT forced BlueSky to terminate its lease agreement for Dash 8-400s. BlueSky aims to acquire a new fleet before applying for an AOC. A revised launch date has not been specified.
