AeroLap Paraguay Airlines

Full Service Carrier
Failed to Launch
IATA: n/a
ICAO: n/a

About

AeroLap Paraguay Airlines was an Asunción based start-up backed by local investors. USD180 million had been set aside for the project, a relaunch of defunct Lineas Aereas Paraguayas (LAP). AeroLap had initially intended to commence three times weekly Asunción-Madrid services (the only country in southern South America lacking the link) with three dry-leased Boeing 767-300ER aircraft from Jul-2014. AeroLap failed to launch the service, and was forced to return some of it's leased aircraft due to accumulated aircraft parking costs at Silvio Pettirossi Airport.
