Airservices Australia is a government-owned organisation that provides air traffic management services across Australia's Flight Information Region (FIR). Australia's FIR covers approximately 11% of the world's total airspace. This service involves the provision of aeronautical data, telecommunications, navigation services and aviation fire fighting support to Australia's airspace users. Airservices manages air traffic operations for over 160 million passengers on more than four million flights every year.
