Xining Caojiabao Airport's phase three expansion, including Terminal 3, commenced in August 2020 with an estimated investment of CNY10.5 billion1 2. Primary concrete and steel structure works for Terminal 3 were completed on 09-May-2023, over 20 days ahead of schedule3. Additionally, a new air traffic control facility, part of the same phase, was set to be completed by June 20244.
