Israel Aerospace Industries completed the first Boeing 777-300ERSF passenger to freighter conversion, securing supplemental type certification from both the US FAA and the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel. AerCap was the launch customer for the 777-300ERSF, with Kalitta Air as the initial operator, and IAI highlighted it was the first globally to convert a Boeing 777 into a freighter1.
