World Bank loans USD13m to Dominica to improve air connectivity

World Bank announced (01-Jun-2020) a USD13 million concessional loan for Dominica to improve the overall regional air connectivity and upgrade the airport infrastructure to safely accommodate diverted operations and other emergencies. The island has been planning on building its first international airport, putting millions aside every month from its Citizenship by Investment Programme. Dominica is one of the four countries benefitting from the World Bank's first financing of Caribbean airport projects, along with Grenada, St Lucia and Haiti.
