Wizz Air announced it would open new operational bases at Valencia on 02-Nov-2026 and Madrid on 03-Nov-2026, stationing four aircraft and launching 10 new domestic and three international services, alongside additional Spain routes and frequency increases.1 Wizz Air later confirmed a Madrid Barajas base with two aircraft, adding new routes including Asturias, Palma de Mallorca, Santiago de Compostela and Pisa, plus higher frequencies to London Luton, Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino.2
