Wizz Air Holdings expects FY2016 net profit to be in the top end of previous guidance

Wizz Air Holdings confirmed (23-Mar-2016) that the strong financial performance delivered in the nine months to Dec-2015 has continued into the Mar-2016 quarter, delivering a stronger than expected financial performance. For the 12 months to Mar-2016, the carrier now expects to report underlying net profit at the top end of its previously announced guidance of between EUR200 million to EUR210 million. Wizz Air CEO József Váradi said: "As Wizz Air approaches the 20 million passengers per year mark the Company is again expected to report a strong financial performance for the full year. We have seen strength in all our markets." He added, "This performance, while also delivering a forecast 21% growth in passenger numbers this financial year, re-affirms the opportunity we see in Central and Eastern Europe."
